The August meeting was at Mike Leger’s shop. We had very good attendance and a great meal. The iron in hat table was completely covered and members went home with some nice prizes.

• Our next meeting will be September 13 in Rayne, at the Depot Square, 201 East Louisiana Ave, 9:00-3:00, we will be participating in the Old Spanish Trail Day with blacksmith demonstrations and members are welcome to sell their work during the event. Members participating will have to arrive by 7:00 AM to set up before the event starts and the roads are closed.

• The club has received a shipment of Pocahontas #3 coal it is $30 for a 50lb sack. This is a very good quality of coal and members are very happy with it being available again.

The coal will be available for purchase at our monthly meetings or you can make arrangements to pick some up from Terry Credeur (337) 519-1209 or Mike Leger (337) 658-0995
